Ticket sales are limited. No outside food, beverages, tables, tents, or umbrellas. Unopened bottled water and small folding lawn chair permitted. Severe weather date: 5/15/22

Sample more than 30 different craft beers, dig into some amazing BBQ (available for purchase), and listen as some of the best Blues musicians in Hampton Roads and beyond take the stage at Riverwalk Landing. This year’s Blues, Brews & BBQ promises to be the best yet!

The music will begin with School of Rock at Noon. J.D. Silvia Blues Band will take the stage at 12:45om followed by the Jason Cale Band at 2:30pm. The Bobby BlackHat Band will begin their performance at 4:30pm. This show will deliver blends and influences of Chicago, Memphis, Piedmont, and Delta style blues along with a little Gospel into a toe tappin’, finger poppin’, hip shakin’ blues experience. 

Tickets are $35 for advance sales (March 1st - April 15th) and $40 after and at the door (if available).  This is a closed ticketed event only. A limited number of non-drinking tickets are available for $15.  This is a rain or shine event.

FAQ's

No, ABC regulations forbid any outside alcohol being brought in.

No outside food is permitted, bottled water will be allowed.

No tables, coolers, tents, or large umbrellas are permitted. Small folding lawn or beach chairs are allowed.

Tasting lasts until 5:45pm. If you purchased an alcoholic beverage, you must be finished before 6pm.

Not this year, but water is permitted. No coolers.

Yes, if you have a ticket and an appropriate wristband.

No – We only give glasses out with an event ticket purchase.

There is a charge for replacing glasses while supplies last.

This is not a kid-friendly event. Children will need a ticket to access the main event areas.

No, but we have a limited number of non-drinking tickets for purchase. Anyone wanting to purchase, sample, consume or be in possession of alcohol must have an drinking event ticket and wrist band

We strictly enforce the number of people allowed in the VIP area. Since those tickets cost more, we want to ensure everyone is comfortable and enjoys the event. We also have to ensure that a chair from another table isn’t taken.

No, this is not a pet-friendly event. Service animals are allowed, there are no water stations, and the area can be crowded.

No, food must be purchased from the vendors of your choice.

Bobby BlackHat, Coastal Virginia Bluesman, 2016 International Blues Challenge finalist, award-winning recording artist, harmonica player, vocalist, songwriter, comedian, producer, and actor hails from Cleveland, Ohio, and currently resides in Newport News, VA. He has been playing harmonica for over 40 years. Bobby is a retired U.S. Coast Guard Commander with 27 years of distinguished service, including serving as Military Aide to the President and being awarded the Coast Guard Medal for Heroism. Bobby BlackHat blends the influences of Chicago, Memphis, Piedmont, and Delta style blues along with a little Gospel into a Toe Tappin’, Finger Poppin’, Hip Shakin’ blues experience.
